A firm built to be the people who do the work
Lytica is a data and AI engineering firm in Monterrey, Mexico, working with companies in the United States. We build data platforms, the semantic layer that makes them trustworthy, and the applied AI that sits on top.

We are deliberately structured so that the senior people are the delivery team. That is not a stage we are passing through on the way to a pyramid — it is the thing we are selling, and it is the reason the economics work the way they do.
The model
Four decisions about how the firm is put together. Each one has a cost we accept.
- Senior engineers only
- Nobody learns on your project. The cost is that we grow slowly and turn work down; the benefit is that the person on the call can answer the hard follow-up question.
- No account management layer
- You talk to the engineer. There is nobody between you whose job is to manage the relationship, and nobody billing you for doing it.
- No bench
- We do not carry idle staff and recover the cost through your rate. When we do not have the right person, we say so rather than staffing it anyway.
- We hire for gaps
- The goal is to be the single point of contact for your data and AI work. Where we lack a capability you need, we bring in someone senior for it rather than pretending the need is not real.

Where we are, and why it matters
Monterrey, Mexico. Nearshore to the United States in the way that actually matters: we are on UTC−6 all year, we share most of a working day with every mainland US time zone, and getting into a room together is a short flight rather than a long-haul plan.
The cost difference against a comparable US firm is real. It comes from where we are and how the firm is structured, not from a junior team or a compromise on the standard of the work. That is the whole proposition, and it is worth stating plainly rather than hinting at.
Lytica Consulting contracts through a US LLC registered in Wyoming, so working with us is a domestic contract for a US company.
Who you actually work with
The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. There is no handoff from the people you met in the sales conversation to a delivery team you have not met, because they are the same people.
Engagements are led by Emilio Garza, a senior data engineer whose prior work includes data platform ownership at a Fortune 500 manufacturer, machine learning and pipeline infrastructure at an industrial AI company, and data architecture delivered to US enterprise clients through a consulting firm.
Where our engineers have done this before
Work our engineers led before Lytica — some in-house, some delivered to clients through a previous employer. We list it as experience, not as Lytica client work, because that is what it is.
A Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods manufacturer
Proposed and led the rearchitecture of two core data systems.
The first ran 93% faster at 58% lower cost. The second cost 65% less and ran 47% faster.
A Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods manufacturer
Led a cost reduction programme across the data platform — remodelled the warehouse, rearchitected the systems around it, and changed how storage and compute were paid for.
Took more than 20% off total cloud spend.
A Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods manufacturer
Reverse engineered an undocumented dataset that a business-critical analytics platform depended on, and kept the platform running.
Rebuilt to 99.94% accuracy against the original.
A Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods manufacturer
Built the CI/CD framework the data platform deployed through, and the documentation standard it was maintained by.
A large US consumer tax services company
Built a high-frequency incremental ingestion system pulling finance and tax data out of a transactional database, and architected the Azure pipelines it fed.
A US specialty retail group
Led the technical side of a customer unification programme — the architecture for resolving customer records into a single view, and the coding patterns the team built it with.
A US specialty retail group
Took new data sources into the warehouse end to end: the integration itself, the ETL around it, and the warehouse remodelling each one required.
An industrial AI company serving manufacturing clients
Migrated on-premise ETL to Azure and rebuilt the pipelines feeding model training, then built the inventory system that told clients what material was available to plan production against.
Pipeline run times fell 53% on average, and up to 87%.

What we do not do
It is faster for both of us if you know this now.
- Staff augmentation by the headcount. You are not renting seats, and we do not bill for a bench.
- BI tool implementation. If you need a Power BI or Tableau practice, we are the wrong firm and we will say so on the first call.
- Six-month discovery phases. If we cannot put working software in front of you inside a month, the scope is wrong.
- Work we cannot staff with senior people. We would rather turn it down and point you somewhere else than learn on your project.
